Student wellbeing at GIE Riyadh

GIE Riyadh is built on the belief that students perform best when they feel supported,
respected, and safe – academically, emotionally and socially. Student wellbeing is not an add-on;
it is woven into how we teach, communicate and design the learning experience.

Your wellbeing matters

You are treated as an individual with specific goals, strengths and challenges. Small class sizes and close interaction with faculty make it easier to speak up if you are struggling, whether with workload, confidence or adjusting to a new environment.

We maintain an atmosphere of respect and openness, where it is normal to ask for help early rather than wait until problems feel unmanageable.

Open conversations

Open communication and early support

Students are encouraged to speak with tutors, student recruitment advisers or the academic team whenever they feel overloaded, confused or worried about their progress. Honest conversations - about English language challenges, time management or balancing study with personal responsibilities allow staff to guide you towards practical solutions.

By identifying issues early, GIE can recommend study strategies, schedule adjustments, or additional support, ensuring wellbeing is protected alongside academic standards.

Respectful, inclusive environment

A positive sense of belonging is a major factor in student wellbeing, especially in higher education. At GIE Riyadh, students from diverse cultural and educational backgrounds share classrooms and projects, with a strong emphasis on respect, professionalism and listening to one another.

This inclusive environment helps students feel comfortable contributing in class, asking questions, and expressing their views, which in turn supports both confidence and emotional wellbeing.

Building resilience for your career

The support you receive at GIE Riyadh is not only about 'getting through the semester'; it is about building the resilience and self-management skills you will need in your career. By learning how to handle feedback, manage deadlines, work in teams and balance commitments, you develop coping strategies that will serve you long after graduation.

In this way, wellbeing at GIE Riyadh is about preparing you to thrive – not only as a student, but as a professional and as a person.
